Now that my wrist is able to move and manipulate needles a bit better, it was time for some serious learnin' to get back into the knitterly thing.
So, since my poor arthritic wrist will be quite stiff during the winter, I decided to knit up a gauntlet. I was doing an online search for wrist warmers and saw this pattern...
lots of cables...
lots of time to go wonky!
Well, I got it done, with some modifications... the original pattern called for the ribbing to go up past the elbow and to include a finger ring of crochet stitches for the middle finger... (quite cute, but too tight when it was finished). I shortened the pattern, and made the circumference smaller by using sock yarn and size 3 needles, and cut the ring.
This was supposed to be a quick knit, did not find that to be true!
I wore it to church today for the test drive... not bad!
I think I will wait till at least February to start the socks!
Oh, by the way, I only made ONE!
