Looking for a cast on method that is used for a hat - that I did wrong the first time - I came across this knitting site...
may want to give this touching story a read!

Circular and Double Pointed Needle Fun!
Oh, summer!!!! The time to kick back and relax. To sit in the sun and absorb all the energy that will be required during the school year! Isn't it great? We have had some humid days, too yucky for even me to venture out. But Sunday and Monday were glorious! The deck was calling my name.
I wanted to use my circular needles as circular needles instead of just using them for flat panels like scarves. Bit more tricky, but I thought I was ready! The downside of all this fun is that one has to decrease using double pointed needles... blimey, learning two new techniques with one project... still game!
This is the "mock cabled" hat on the circular needles, right before changing to the double pointed ones.
Here, I am off the circulars and onto 4 double pointed needles, the fifth one is the working needle that replaces the freed one as you go - -confusing but not so bad!

I have decreased enough to spread the stitches across three needles at this point... still decreasing!
And...
The hat!!! (Do I hear a drum roll?)
View from the top of my head!

This is what the top closure looks like - - seems like a successful needle adventure...
Now for socks!

Wedding Weekends in June!!!
There is one picture that I forgot to delete at the wedding... Brenna is racing down the sidewalk being showered in rose petals... slow camera... great picture. I shall call it whirlwind wedding day: dress and petals!

Be happy!
Graduation, visits, and knitting!
Heather, Matt, Hannah girl, and Mason buddy were here for two weeks, and it was wonderful to have them. Heather and I were both itching to do some fiber arts... loose definition...I finally talked her into doing a chemo cap! Here is her first one, child size! She did a great job, and I thank her for it - since the recipient can't!
I frogged a really wide scarf in favor of a skinny one... did this one on chunky needles, so I guess you could say this one was not a cheating scarf!
The best news... Brittannie is now an OSU alum! She had pre-commencement on Saturday, and she was an Award of Merit winner! Here she is with the poster that was on display throughout the ceremony! Britt was one of 205 who graduated from the School of Allied Medical Professions, and only nine were chosen for this award!!!
Brittannie and her dear friend, Laura, will be living off campus together while they both pursue their masters in Occupational Therapy. Britt will continue to work in the hospitals as a registered respiratory therapist - - because of the responsibility, I feel like that should have been capitalized!

Go Bucks!
Good luck in the upcoming future... 10 days until they start dissecting cadavors for anatomy class!
