Mussa Patrick

About four years ago, I sponsored Mussa through Compassion International. He lives in Tanzania and is 12 years old. He helps his family fetch water, grind cereal, and harvest maize. He recently assisted the builders of his new home by carrying sand. With his birthday and Christmas gifts, he usually buys staples for his family: fabric, cooking oil, rice, and sugar for his mother; dresses for his sister; shoes, t-shirts, and jeans for himself. Mussa and I correspond frequently, and it is awesome to see his writing and self-confidence blossom with each letter. Mussa closed one letter with, "It is me, your child, Mussa!" If that is not a way into a heart, I don't know what is!
Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults. If you would like to become a sponsor and to change someone's life, visit the Compassion link to find out more. http://www.compassion.com/default.htm
